About this website

This website is dedicated to the premise that the more one learns about tai chi, the more one realizes there is more to know. Every moment brings with it something new. It is our response ability to be ready to be surprised!

The information provided is our most recent understanding of our interactions with the world around and inside us, always moving, always changing. There are many forms and individual variations to Qigong and Tai Chi. It is hoped you will find movements that suit you and your body. In the variety of possibilities there are basic principles common to all, for safety, and also for reaching the benefits within the outward exercise. Attending a class will assist you in learning to play tai chi and qigong effectively.

天河 Tianhe Chinese characters literally mean “a river in the sky/heavens” and is also a Chinese name for the Milky Way. Tianhe District is one of eleven districts in Guangzhou in the province of Guangdong.

太极 The Chinese characters for tai chi.

Taken together, these characters represent the slow, continuous movements made when connected to the rivers we know and the unlimited beyond.

This little character is a logo Jerry has used for 50 years. It comes in many postures with many meanings and messages. We invite you to see the tai chi movement that it expresses for you from day to day.
